Positions

  • Housekeeping

    The Housekeeper position provides a clean and sanitary environment for staff and residents include but are not limited to dusting rooms, cleaning bathrooms, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing units, cleaning carpets, and replenishing supplies as needed to the units.  Assistance in other areas as needed as well.

  • Cook

    Prepare the food for the residents. Assist in clean up, kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down the dining areas. Other job duties include delivering food to residents' rooms, preparing and serving snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.

  • Facility Aide

    A residential care facility aide, also known as a resident care aide (LNA or PCA), provides non-professional health care and personal assistance to residents in a residential care setting:

    • Daily living activities: Assisting with bathing, dressing, eating, using the toilet, and transport
    • Physical care: Assisting with physical mobility
    • Self-help activities: Washing and drying laundry, and performing housekeeping duties, assistance with showering and dressing, undressing if needed.
    • Companionship: Visiting with residents and providing companionship
    • Health monitoring: Helping to monitor the health of clients and handling medications
    • Safety: Maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment, responding to medical or safety issues, and following all safety protocols and regulations 

  • Level I Medication Aide (LIMA)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Medication administration: Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, LIMAs administer oral, topical, inhalation, rectal, vaginal, otic, ophthalmic, nasal, transdermal, buccal, sublingual, aerosol, and nebulizer medications. They also calculate dosages, stock medication carts, and ensure patients take their medication. LIMAs must demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication administration and record all medications given to residents. They also observe patients for drug reactions and report any problems to nurses.
    • Resident care: LIMAs may help residents with activities of daily life (ADLs), perform medication reminders, and notify licensed staff if a resident complains of pain. They should also maintain resident confidentiality.
    • Documentation: LIMAs keep detailed records of medication dosages and times, and document vital signs, interventions, and other pertinent data related to medication administration.
    • Health and safety: LIMAs should follow all facility standards and regulations, as well as state and federal guidelines, to ensure the safety of residents and staff. They should also work with other medical professionals to establish consistent care routines and maintain a hygienic work environment.
  • Facility Director

    The Residential Care Facility Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to residents, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Operational Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the facility, including resident care, staffing, and facility maintenance.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective facility operations.
    • Ensure that the facility is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.

    Staff Management:

    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, including care providers, administrative personnel, and support staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement professional development programs.
    • Foster a positive work environment and address staff concerns and conflicts as they arise.

    Resident Care:

    • Ensure that residents receive high-quality, personalized care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
    • Develop and maintain individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
    • Address and resolve resident and family concerns and complaints in a timely and empathetic manner.

    Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the facility’s budget, including monitoring expenses and revenues.
    • Oversee billing and financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining the quality of care.

    Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to assess the effectiveness of care and operational procedures.
    • Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.

    Community Relations:

    • Represent the facility in interactions with families, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the facility’s reputation and outreach.
    • Promote and implement community engagement and resident enrichment activities.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with senior management and the board of directors to set and achieve facility goals and objectives.
    • Participate in strategic planning and initiatives to improve facility operations and resident services.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure the facility remains competitive and innovative.

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience in a management role within a residential care or healthcare facility.
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and best practices in resident care.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial operations, and administrative functions.
    • Ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.

    Work Environment:

    • The position is based in a residential care facility setting.
    • May require occasional evening or weekend work based on facility needs and emergency situations.
